The history of Rockin 7 B Ranch Quarter Horses predates our Ranch by 50 years. Their breeding was put together by a lady named Sara Jane Wells Grazier. Sara’s love and knowledge of horses and their genetics is equal only to 6666, King Ranch and Carol Rose. Sara knew to have the best genetics she had to get the best genetics. In 1968, she started a stallion line with a horse called Ed Daniels, which is line bred back to King p234. Sara knew that the King Ranch had spent 150 years creating the best cow horse. That horse crossed with Doc Bar mares made an exceptional performance horse. A goal of Sara’s was to find another Doc Bar type horse. Carol Rose and DVM Glenn Blodgett of the Four Sixes are still trying to do that. Some of the stallions that she used was Boston Ridge-son of Boston Mac, Mceasy-son of Easy Jet out of a daughter of Sugar Bars, Point To Home AQHA SI-96/AAA/ROM won All American Congress Futurity-son of What Luck-grand sire was Bold Ruler, Gloritas Master-son of Top Master, Sugar Rondo SI 100-son of Sugar Bars, Finest Action 67 points-son of Action Line, Some Kinda Flower 45H/100P points-son of Bar Flower. The horse that Sara believed was going to be the one was Impressible Dater. He had 44.5 performance points, 31.5 Halter Points and was the son of The Intimidator. Impressible Dater was going into his last show of the year with enough points to win the title Supreme Champion. He was poisoned before the final show and died.
Sara also went searching for that perfect cow horse, such as Mr. Three Stars-son of Skipa Star, Mr. Edie Jack-son of Two Eyed Jack, and Johnny Bars Kid-son of Ricochet kid-son of Three Bars. All of these where great performing horses, but Sara knew that she still needed more.
Sara then went to the King Ranch and spent two weeks searching for the right stallion. She ended up bringing home four. Little Angel Peppy-son of Peppy San Badger was one. Little Angel Peppy has 32.5 performance points working cow horse and he was the 1996 High Point Working Cow Horse Stallion. Peppy Basics-son of Mr. San Peppy was the second. Sara used Peppy Basics daughters to breed a strong base of mares. Conchito Cinco-son of Mister San Cinco-son of Mr. San Peppy was the third. Mister San Cinco was a stallion the King Ranch used to breed back to their own mares to use on the ranch; this shows how much they thought of that breeding. The fourth was Peppys Vineyard-son of Mr. San Peppy.
One of Sara's top mares was Nic Nac Boomattack daughter of Boomernic one the best Reigning Stallions ever.
